It's Freakin' Hot Out Here!
Hindi na ako natutuwa sa weather. I’m like drenched in sweat all day. Doesn’t matter if you shower like crazy, the moment you step out of the shower all hell breaks loose and you start perspiring again.
Spent the Lenten holidays lounging around the house. As in literally I was just lying on my back the whole time. Made great use of time and caught up with my reading. I’m so addicted to the Sookie Stackhouse series right now. I’m on book 5 and I have 4 more to go, I can’t wait! What I like about Charlaine Harris’ books is that they’re so entertaining and freakin’ light to read. Let’s just say she’s no Dostoevsky but her stories are so entertaining. I liked this book (book5) especially, it’s more wholesome! Haha!
Gravitating towards Indian writers, for the past year or so I’ve managed to read the works of Kiran Desai, Vikas Swarup, V.S. Naipaul (well technically he’s not Indian but he wrote about Indians in Trinidad), Jhumpa Lahiri (love her!) and Aravind Adiga who I read last week. The more I read about Indian culture the more I see parallelisms between our societies like how they value family and certain sociological perceptions.
Can’t wait for Glee! Wish I had all the money and time to spend my days reading. I want another non-fiction maybe something about math or history! I want a flip!
